Greetings Everyone:
Doesn’t anyone think it’s odd, that during this time of “social distancing” that every press conference includes more than 10 people standing side by side telling everyone else to limit their contact with everyone else?
During this “corona adventure” what exactly is the best greeting when you close a conversation with someone?
In Florida – we say – “stay safe” – because we are used to the Hurricanes dropping trees on homes and cars.
In New York – they are saying “great to connect with you, but seriously just stay away” – blunt and direct.
In California, Colorado, and other states where marijuana has been legalized they are still laughing, and tend to finish every conversation with “Dude – you gotta stay stoned until the thing is over.”
Undoubtedly, interesting stuff during these interesting times.
On a more relevant matter, I just finished a one-hour phone conference with a legal marketing expert, and his system reports that because people are glued to their computers – many internet searches are being conducted to search for attorneys in every area of practice. From Admiralty to Zoning every area of law will be needed for this most unique and challenging time frame.
More on this sooner than later……
Are you Zoom ready?
Unless you are just joining us from your recent travel to space – we won’t be having any live “in-person” Chapter meetings through the rest of March 2020, but at this time – FLN – formally announces that April 2020 will be [FLN – Zoom Chapter Meeting] month.
During April 2020 – the regular [FLN – Chapter] meetings will be conducted virtually and will take place live at the normal date and time that each Chapter normally meets. Everyone should know when their [FLN – Chapter] meets so mark your calendars for the adventure.
In preparation for Zoom to be a more relevant part of our communication, FLN will be conducting some Zoom tests and Zoom tutorials for this upcoming adventure, so stay tuned as more details develop.
WhatsApp Groups:
Remember during this time when we are not meeting regularly, it’s important for everyone to stay connected with fellow colleagues and friends through the Chapter WhatsApp group.
Don’t be shy.
The best thing you can do is post an inspirational message, and I am sure your fellow friends and colleagues will appreciate it.
Our [FLN – WhatsApp] First Place Award for this week goes out to [FLN – West Broward Chapter] for posting a really great and inspiring video.
Meanwhile, until Florida joins other states mentioned above, my favorite way to finish every communication is to say……
“I sincerely look forward to connecting with you sooner than later.”
Make it a great day, and please feel welcome to reply with any exciting stories, tales, or experiences you recently experienced.
Regards,
