Greetings Everyone:
The excitement is building, the energy is growing, and more and more people are connecting and reconnecting “in-person” and the feeling is awesome.
Yesterday, the [FLN – Doral Chapter] was recorded in the FLN – History books as the very first FLN Chapter to experience a live “In-Person” outdoor – informal – “social gathering” since March of 2020.
It was awesome, tremendous and extraordinary to see friends and colleagues once again, and may you all experience the same feeling when reconnecting with your friends and colleagues.
Hard to believe it’s been almost 14 months since the adventure began, but great to see that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter, and the fog seems to be lifting as we speak.
As more and more Floridians, and FLN Members get vaccinated, inoculated, comfortable and ready to emerge, we are making plans to re-engage as follows:
Based on what we know right now, and presuming there are no unforeseen developments, May will be the last month that FLN Chapter Meetings will be presented via Zoom.
However, the return to regular “in-person” Chapter meetings will be a gradual, measured, strategic, and deliberate process as we begin to emerge and acclimate to the current climate.
On that note, let’s start towards the end of the year, and work our way to the present.
December 2021:
-Since we had no Holiday parties or gatherings in 2020, FLN is planning to host the following Holiday parties in December of 2021 and all active FLN Members will be invited to attend.
[FLN – Palm Beach County] – Tuesday, December 7, 2021
[FLN – Broward County] – Wednesday, December 8, 2021
[FLN – Miami-Dade County] – Thursday, December 9, 2021
Mark your calendars, and don’t be surprised when the events are announced like you just heard about them yesterday….
[FLN – Annual Retreat – 2021]:
-Plans are already underway for the FLN – Annual Retreat to be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 and Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency, Coral Gables, FL where all FLN – Members from all [FLN – Chapters] will be invited to attend.
Pre-Registration details will be circulated shortly, so stay tuned as those details develop.
August 2021:
-Again, presuming the current trend continues, and there are no unforeseen developments, we expect all FLN Chapter Meetings will resume for live “In-Person” Chapter meetings as we did before.
The next several months should give everyone lots of time to get ready, acclimated, comfortable and prepared for this upcoming plan.
July 2021:
-Since so many FLN Members are planning to enjoy some great travel plans this summer, we expect that traffic throughout South Florida will improve tremendously, and lots of FLN Members will be leaving the South Florida area.
As such, there will be no scheduled FLN Chapter meetings in July of 2021, however, FLN – Power Lunches and some great special live outdoor events will be planned and announced as follows:
-FLN – Marlins Night
-FLN – Sailing Night – Miami
-FLN – Sailing Night – Fort Lauderdale
-FLN – Sailing Night – Palm Beach County
June 2021:
-If all goes as planned, all FLN Chapters will have some type of outdoor lunch or cocktail event to reconnect, and re-engage with fellow colleagues and friends.
-Venues are needed, so if you know of a great outdoor venue that can accommodate a live “In-Person” outdoor (in shade) lunch meeting or cocktail hour, please reply and let us know.
May 2021:
-The new round of FLN – Power Lunches will be released shortly, and many folks have already started to mention their groups will be meeting live and “In-Person” so stay tuned for that announcement.
FLN – May Chapter Meetings – If we can find a suitable outdoor meeting place for a live “In-Person” Chapter gathering, then that will be great, and will be held and announced instead of the regular Zoom Chapter meeting.
Again, we need your help to recommend some suitable outdoor venues for either a “shaded outdoor lunch” or an evening cocktail session.
Otherwise,
I can report from my personal experience yesterday that it was a really great, awesome and tremendous feeling to see so many FLN Chapter members attend a live “In-Person” Lunch, and thanks to the FLN – Doral Chapter Members and Directors for taking the initiative and making things happen.
Until then, I will see you on the Zoom, but more importantly, I sincerely look forward to connecting with everyone at a live “In-Person” FLN Event, as we emerge from the current adventure.
